A hopefully RAINY day at home!

We are hoping a praying for lots of rain today. The pollen has been awful this Spring. Poor Maddox can hardly breathe :( We got a little shower around lunch time and it's looking a little gloomy at the moment so hopefully it will come a good downpour soon.

We have just chilled at home today doing a lot of nothing. I went through a lot of of Kate's clothes that are too small for her and a friend may come and look at them for her daughter. It is so hard for me to let her clothes go. I know that sounds crazy but it's the truth. I kept a couple of her outfits, like the one she wore for her first birthday and her 1st Easter dress. We haven't decided if there will be baby #3 or not, but if it's a girl I will just buy more clothes :)

Maddox is really struggling with his allergies, poor guy. He took a really long nap this afternoon, so I took some Vick's and put it on his feet, his paci, and a napkin layed next to his head, hopefully this will help him. He acts like he feels fine, still as happy as can be.

Anna Kate is still napping. We went a tried to wake her up but that didn't work. That girl still needs her nap. Ava Grace and Will came and played with us yesterday in the snow, I mean pollen :) We had a great time and I loved being able to talk to Kristin.

Tonight is Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice night. I know that Survivor is a new episode, but I am not sure about Grey's and Private Practice. As far as survivor goes, I am a Colby, JT, and Russell fan. We will see how tonight goes :)

Well, Wes will be home in a few mintues and I am sure he will be working on his month long project of building a storage building. I give him a hard time but I know he will do a great job and it will be so nice to have more room in the garage.

Day 2 of Spring Break

I am on Spring Break this week :) Wes was off yesterday so we did the family thing. We went to the park before it got too warm. We played outside most of the day following a great long nap for everyone :) We were still recovering from the Easter festivities.

Today, Kate went to Monkey Joe's with Maw and Austin. Maddox and I decided we would go and do my favorite thing, SPEND MONEY!! We headed up to Old Navy and Target. I got both kiddos a few things for the summer. They didn't need anything but I cannot help myself. I may have a problem!! Wes would say that I do have a problem :) I got Wes a t-shirt and I found a couple of things for me on the clearance rack!!! Then we headed off to Target and I was really good. I got a printer cartridge and Kate a pair of socks. I actually bought the socks twice, because last week I bought her the same pair but I forgot to pay for them :( I layed them on Maddox while he was asleep in his carrier and didn't realize I hadn't paid for them until I was in the car. I didn't go back that day but I told myself I would just pay for them twice the next time I bought her some. She needed another pair, these are socks with the ruffles on them that she wears to church. I feel much better now that I have paid for them. Maddox and I ran in Hallmark and got my mom a Mother's Day/Birthday present. Then we headed home.

Now Maddox is swinging in his swing and we are waiting for Kate to get home. I forgot that we went to the book store and I got 90 Minutes in Heaven I have been wanting to read this so maybe I will have time this week.

Until tomorrow!

The Start

I am horrible at photo albums and baby books, so I figured I could start a blog to keep up with all of the amazing things that my children say and do on a daily basis. I hope that daily part works out. Just to get everyone up to speed...I am Hayley and I married to my high school sweetheart, Wes. We have to amazing children, Anna Kate who was born in August of 2006, and Maddox who joined our family in October of 2009. I teach 4th grade and Wes works for the electric company. We have an amazing life and I wouldn't change a thing about it, maybe winning the lottery would be nice. I have an incredible small group of friends that I cherish. We are also close to the same group of friends that we had in high school. We live in the town that we both grew up in and I teach in the same school district.

A little about Miss Anna Kate...she is a character. She makes me smile and laugh my head off every day. You never know what she is going to do or say and that is what I love the most about her. She loves to watch the same movies over and over, we are watching Cinderella again, as I type! She has the sweetest heart and will just come out and say,"I love you" at the most random times. She attends preschool 4 days a week right now but will be attending montessori next year at my school :) She has the most beautiful blue eyes and knows how to use them to her advantage. I love my Kate Kate!!

Now on to Mr. Maddox... What can I say about the most amazing and precious baby on Earth. He was a very wanted baby. I suffered two miscarriages before carrying him to full term. The moment he entered the world he has been such a blessing to our family in so many ways. He has taught our daughter that the world does not revolve around her 24/7. She now just thinks it revolves around her 23/7 :) He is such a sweet and easy baby. He is happy 98% of the time, very different than our high maintenance Kate! All you have to do is smile at him and he will give you the biggest, sweetest smile right back. I love him so much and can't wait to experience having a little boy.

A little on my hubby...He is a fantastic husband but a more amazing father. He loves his two babies more than life itself and I know he would do anything in the world for them. I know so many people say that but it is really true for Wes. He loves spending time with them and does everything from changing diapers to playing tag with Kate. I really couldn't ask for anything more. He supports me and wants me to be happy all of the time. He also puts up with my "fits" you know red heads have a quite a temper ;)

Well that is about it for my introduction. I will hopefully post every day and keep you up to date with what is going on at the Dover House!

Luv ya,
Hayley
